Nieves is a publishing house based in Zurich, specialized in artist' books and zines. If you never heard of them, go on their website, they have such great publications that I could easily make a 10 page christmas wishlist.

Francesc Ruiz' exhibition Yaoi shows drawings from the japanese comic book genre Yaoi, which depicts male homoerotic narratives that are produced and consumed by woman.

Exhibition in Gasworks, London, until 26th of January.

---------Rinus van de Velde-------

Rinus van de Velde has quite an Oeuvre on his website. I really like that he presents his work in chronological order, showing the development of his drawings.

His work is currently in a group show in Smart Project Space in Amsterdam.

thanks to Adam for the link.

-------------Julien Beneyton---------

work from french painter Julien Beneyton. Worth checking out his website, especially the "tributes on paper" to Hip Hop stars.

------------call for entrys----------

Open Call from Manifest, a gallery in Cincinnati, Ohio: they publish an International Drawing Annual and the call for entrys for Number 6 is online right now (Deadline 31st of December).

To be honest, some of the drawings they chose for the last issues are not really what I personally like, but I really appreciate the initiative. Still worth to submit some work.

RSAnimate made an animation on Dan Pink's talk about what motivates us
and one on Barbara Ehrenreich's talk on the darker side of positive thinking
furthermore: the Bone dry is still going strong, blogging about painting
iheartphotograph had a lot of great guests recently
