Daniel Johnston, singer, songwriter and artist, is best known for the 2006 documentary The Devil and Daniel Johnston. Johnston is mainly famous for his music, but his first aspiration was to become a cartoonist. Now he recently published his first comic book called Space Ducks: An infinite comic book of musical greatness #1.

John Lurie: Learn to Draw

Yes, John Lurie, the actor and musician.
He made the book "Learn to Draw Vol.1" which is full of funny, ironic scribbly drawings, and another book with paintings, called "A Fine Example of Art" (which I haven't seen yet, unfortunately).
